The entire S7 lineup — Pro, Max, Ultra, Prime — runs on the same Quad-core ARM Cortex-A53 processor with 4GB RAM. Streaming performance, channel loading, 6K playback, and app responsiveness are identical across all S7 variants. Choosing between them is a storage and features decision, not a performance decision.

The S7 Max at $399 covers the needs of the vast majority of single-TV households. 64GB handles a normal app load without requiring active storage management for most users.
The Ultra earns its $50 premium in three specific situations. First, large households with multiple active users — more apps, more profiles, more simultaneous use patterns push storage harder, and 128GB provides real headroom where 64GB starts constraining over time. Best fit: Households that run the main TV heavily, install apps frequently, value aluminum build quality over plastic, or have users who prefer a lit remote.
